Responsibilities

Due to groundbreaking events in legalization, cannabis is a viable consumer good. The stakeholders at Genius meshed industry knowledge with corporate know-how to create an ambitious brand, that made cannabis transperant and approachable. They wanted a website geared towards the sensory enhancements of weed. They also needed a clear flow for those without cannabis knowledge to learn more, and feel confident enough to seek out product.

The wireframes I made focused on 3 goals: introduce the product, educate the consumer and provide a well-organized view of all product types. It was also important to provide easy ways to pair the consumer with their ideal strain. For pairing, I thought using drop-downs where a user chose ideal product type and how they wanted to feel was ideal. This feature allows users to quickly view products relevant to their needs. I headed this project, from conception (Invision wireframes) to providing high-fidelity mocks and interaction design for complex features.

Brand Colors

Brand colors were established for print prior to my involvement. We did however work together to define complimentary web colors for online material. It was important that the grouping of colors maintained the same relationship as our vibrant neon tones on packaging.

The UI Design

When designing the UI for the website, I aimed for a modular look that felt minimal and refined. The intention was to give our photography the main stage.
